Biography

Belle Chi is an award-winning young pianist from the United States, widely recognized as one of the most promising talents of her generation. Her artistry is marked by expressive depth, technical brilliance, and a mature musical voice that has garnered international attention.

 

In 2026, Belle Chi was formally named a Young Steinway Artist by Steinway & Sons, in recognition of her distinguished artistic achievements and professional commitment to the highest standards of piano performance. This appointment officially includes her in the Steinway Artist Roster, an international family of the world’s most accomplished and discerning artists.

 

At the age of nine, Belle became the youngest recipient of the prestigious Yamaha Star title. Since then, she has appeared at major venues including Carnegie Hall, Tokyo Opera City, The Juilliard School, and Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, performing for audiences across the United States, Asia, and Europe.

 

Belle has won more than 20 international first prizes, among them the Elizabeth International Music Competition, Manchester International Music Competition, and the Pacific Stars International Piano Competition. In 2025, she was awarded Second Prize and the Best Chopin Concerto No. 1 Award at the Chopin in Cyprus International Concerto Competition, where she performed with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.

 

Belle currently studies with Alexandre Moutouzkine and is mentored by Congyu Wang. She previously studied with Grace Chung, whose guidance played a pivotal role in shaping her early musical foundation. Through her continued artistic development, Belle Chi is establishing herself as a compelling young artist on an international professional trajectory.
